i.MX RT1020, FlexSPI and 1.8V Flash?

Hello,

would it be possible to connect a 1.8V Octal SPI Flash (like the Adesto ATX064P) via FlexSPI to a i.MX RT1020?

The schematic of the i.MX RT1020 EVK shows this possibility. NVCC_SD is switchable between 1.8V and 3.3V (see page 4).

But according to the reference manual, Table 83, Ports GPIO_SD_B1_xx are supplied by NVCC_GPIO which is 3.3V.

regards

Gerhard

Hi Gerhard,

No, RT1020 can't support 1.8v Octal QSPI. You can see in the table 83 that RT1021 even haven't so much NVCC_SD0 field pads.

Hello Jing,

thanks for the answer, even though it wasn't the answer I would like to get.

Most of the Flashes with Octal SPI interface and RWW capability are 1.8V flashes. So for applications where we use XIP and some kind of data flash we will need 2 flashes.
