Why when I connect the J11 with USB to my laptop it does not prompt out the MSD?  How to get back this MSD?

  Thank you for your interest in the NXP MIMXRT product, I would like to provide service for you.

  3 questions for you:

1. which EVK reversion you are using now?

2. which PC OS you are using now?

3. Do you update the on board debugger firmware or not? I mean, use the LPCscrypt update the debugger firmware, as the new firmware don't have the MSD.

But the out of factory debugger firmware support the MSD in the windows, this is my EVK rev c4 result:

If you update the debugger firmware, you may need to back to the old firmware again:

1) I am using IMIMXRT1170-EVK (REV C4)
2) Window 11 Pro
3) As I want to build project using GCC toolchain then I update the firmware to J-Link. I not sure is it after I updated it the MSD did not prompt out. But before this the MSD will prompt out once I connect the J11 to laptop.

Hi @Bay ,

  Thanks for your information.

   The new upgrated firmware is not support the MSD, that's why you can't find it.

  But don't worry, you still can use the debugger or the serial download mode to download the app, that's very easy.

   If you use the JLINK, you can use the JLINK driver, JLINK command:

  loadfile xxx.bin addr

   Or you can enter the serial download mode, use the tool, eg, MCUBootutiliy or the MCUXPresso Secure provisional tool to download.
