LPSPI vs FLEXIO SPI, LPUART vs FLEXIO UART

I just want to understand what is the difference between LP and FlexIO peripherals. As name suggest it is low power (LP) but apart from that i have seen configuration is also different for both the peripheral modules.

Is there any performance difference?

Any guideline to select LP or FlexIO?
