use mfgtool to upgrade rootfs

my custom board have mfg tool  to download firmware(have no ethernet port).I must use mfgtool to download whole rootfs even just modified only one file, it's a waste of time. Is there a convenient way to upgrade rootfs with mfgtool?

Only the whole rootfs image can be reloaded with the MFGtool. If you only need to add a couple of files to your board's rootfs, better seems to use some external mass storage device, e.g. an USB Flash drive.
