Hello Community,

if I run the i.mx28evk(L2.6.35) with power from the 5V jack all things work fine. I use udhcpc to get an IP.

But if i power it from the USB port J82 (with S3:ON and S16:USB 5V) the Ethernet won't work.

I don't get dhcp responses with power from USB.

$ ifconfig eth0

eth0      Link encap:Ethernet  HWaddr 00:01:9F:02:4D:72

          BROADCAST MULTICAST  MTU:1500  Metric:1

          RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0

          TX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0

          collisions:0 txqueuelen:1000

          RX bytes:0 (0.0 B)  TX bytes:0 (0.0 B)

          Base address:0x8000

$ udhcpc

udhcpc (v1.15.0) started

eth0: Freescale FEC PHY driver [Generic PHY] (mii_bus:phy_addr=0:00, irq=-1)

I think it's the same problem like in this thread eth0 problem in imx28 evk but I'm not sure. Are there any solutions for this?

I'm not sure, I've put the two patches in the folder ltib/rpm/BUILD/linux/patches and renamed them to match the consecutive numbers of the other 571 patches.

then I've rebuild the kernel with ./ltib -f kernel
