i.MX8M-Mini definition of CCM_CLKO[2:1] pins

Document IMX8MMRM-i.MX 8M Mini Applications Processor Reference Manual, Rev 1, 03/2019 states that CCM_CLKO[2:1] can be connected to pads GPIO1_IO[14:15] (p. 1231). The signals are shown on page 262 as coming out of the CCM.

However, I cannot find the description for CCM_CLKO[2:1]. Could you let me know what this signal is? I am hoping it may be a clock output from the SoC.

Thanks

JP

Hello JP,

The CCM_CLKO pins are indeed lacking documentation but while these refer to an output for clocks it is not recommended to drive external devices as CCM_CLKO is designed only for monitoring on this processor.

My apologies for the inconvenience and thank you for pointing out the lack of information on the documentation!

Hello JP,

The CCM_CLKO signal does usually refer to a clock output for off-chip devices. However, I will escalate with our experts so they can confirm this and to add this information on the next release of the documentation.
