Wifi (NXP 88W8997) on iMX8QM MEK with Android Automotive 10 (2.4.0)

Hi, 

Our team just got a i.MX 8QuadMax MEK for testing purpose.
We also ordered the Wi-Fi / Bluetooth module from EmbeddedArtists: 1YM M.2 Module which carrys Chipset: NXP 88W8997.

I have downloaded the Android Automotive BSP for android 10, but found the wifi / BT module is not working AA10

I ended up found in the release note that Wifi for 10 BSP need BCM 1FD BCM4359 chipset.

I wonder is that possible to make Android Automotive 10 working with NXP 88W8997 by build our own images? Could you provide instruction on that is it's doable?

one can look at non-auto Android 10 where 88W8997 is supported

Thanks for your reply! The software we're testing is based on automotive.

Is that possible to modify the wifi configuration on auto release to make the wifi module work?

We're pretty new to the NXP world please give me more detailed information if possible.
