Hi community,
I have some questions about i.MX6 VPU firmware.
In Linux BSP (L3.0.35_4.1.0), there are vpu firmwares in /lib/firmware.
Then, please see my questions below.
[Q1]
I want to know whether I can use vpu_fw_imx6q.bin for i.MX6Solo.
I think I can use it because i.MX6Solo has same VPU as i.MX6 Quad.
Is this correct?
Or there is a binary for i.MX6Solo?
[Q2]
If the answer for Q1 is "correct", i.MX6SDL and i.MX6DQ can use same binary file, isn't it?
However, there is vpu_fw_imx6d.bin in same directory.
What is this?
There is no description about this binary in i.MX_6Dual6Quad_VPU_API_Reference_Manual.pdf in Linux BSP documentation.

hi,
Checked with VPU owner. i.MX6Solo use "vpu_fw_imx6d.bin".
The two binraries are for i.MX6DQ and i.MX6DL respectively.

Excuse me, what is " The two binraries"?
According to your reply, I understood as following, is this correct?
i.MX6DL & i.MX6DQ => vpu_fw_imx6q.bin
i.MX6S => vpu_fw_imx6d.bin
