Hello,

many parts have pin number 1, often marked as dot on package.

Hi Yuri

Good. Finally, i came to conclusion through your help and other sources is that this kind of symbol representation is only for the probing purpose by the PCB designer/Layout Engineer. Am I correct ? Pl, find an attachment. Pl, correct me if i am wrong ??

Kapil Kumar.

Hi Yuri

As per my limited knowledge, resistor does not have pin no 1 or pin no 2 , either way we can connect. Right ?

Hi,

Yes, a resistor  in itself is symmetrical - it has no special pin numbering, but CAD may apply
such approach (to have marked pins) for compatibility with other parts.

Yuri.
