Dear team,
I am using DDR tool(Beta) which had been published on community for i.MX8M-EVK.
When I push the [Search] button on its GUI, my PC cannot find the COM port.
Do you have any ideas to solve this issue?
BTW, I tried to run the DDR Tool on another PC(Let's Note). And it worked fine.
My PC is as below.
Lenovo/ThinkPad X240, Windows7 Enterprise(64bit) w/SP-1
Thanks,
Miyamoto
Finally, I've got some feedback from R&D.
First, please try the attached release of the DDR Tool. Then, when starting the application, clearly run it in the Administrator mode (right-click on the application and select "Run as Administrator" form the appearing pop-up menu). I tried, it works on my side.
Best Regards,
Artur
Hi art
Thanks, I tried the DDR TOOL on my PC.
But the result was the same.
It cannot search the COM port.
Additionally, the DDR Tool fails when ‘Download’ on the other PC.
On the other PC, the previous beta version still works fine.
Actually, Avecto is installed in my PC for the company policy.
So, "Run as administrator" is not shown on my PC.
Instead of that, when right-click, "Run with Admin right" will be shown maybe by Avecto.
BR,
Miyamoto
Anyway, try to run the DDR Tool software with the Administrator rights. It should solve the problem.
I've found the same issue on my desktop PC with Windows7 64bit Ultimate SP1 and now trying to identify the root cause of the issue. Just for information, can you please specify the parameters and OS version of the PC you say the DDR tool is working?
Best Regards,
Artur
Hello art
Thanks for your information.
The PC which the DDR Tool is working is;
HW:Panasonic/Let’s Note(CF-NX1)
OS:Windows7 Enterprise SP-1, 64-bit.
The hardware of the note-pc is differ to the pc which the tool does not work.
This Note-PC is not connected to our internal network, because it is used to run various tools which our suppliers provided.
That is;
Some softwares which are used for internal management may not be installed on this PC.(eg. Avecto)

Miyamoto
Unfortunately, no. I have reported the issue to the R&D but no updates so far. Still awaiting.
Best Regards,
Artur
