Hi
In our custom board audio is routed through SPDIF interface.
I am getting some signals on SPDIF port but no audio is heard.
Any suggestions?
SPDIF Register values are as
STCSCH: 0x304000
STCSCL: 0x000000
SCR: 0x00030417
SIE: 0x00040000
STC: 0x00000196

Hi John,
Unfortunately non of Freescale iMX6 boards has an SPDIF TX;
In some iMX6 boards HDMI uses SPDIF TX for handling audio, so interface is known to work.
I will suggest to try latest release as we don't typically provide support for previous releases.
Latest release L3.0.5_4.0.0_130424

Hi John,
SPDIF is a data stream, if you are playing and audio file on IMX6 and the sink (output) is SPDIF, you need a device that will receive SPDIF and converted it to an audible format.
We use devices similar to Transit M-Audio to generate a SPDIF stream and capture (record) in iMX6 into SPDIF Rx; in your case connect the SPDIF Tx line to an audio receiver (probably you will need a coxial to optical converter).

Hi,
Adrian
Thanks for your reply.
Yes, I have connected converter at output side.
So it should work, This setup is working with other SPDIF source.
