Hi,

I'm using an iMX6ULL and trying to use the EPIT timer as a timersource for my application.

All I can find in the NXP Linux manuals is this:

But, this file doesn't exist in the kernel source tree, so I'm not sure how to use this.

So, basically I'm looking for some hints, examples or starting points to use the EPIT timer in Linux 5.15.

Thanks!

Jeroen.

Hi Joanxie,

Thank you!
I've updated the patch for 5.15.x, and can confirm the timer is running and generates interrupts.

It’s still a bit unclear how proceed from that point on to use the timer from a userspace application, like setting the timeout interval and receiving an interrupt with e.g. a select()-call.

Do you perhaps also have a small example of that?

Thanks again,

Jeroen.

Already succeeded using EPIT in userland.

Example not necessary anymore.
