I have program the kernel source code and the uboot source code with the L3.0.35_4.1.0_130816_source.tar.gz . Then I program the kernel image and uboot image
with the source code . I download the Image ,uboot.bin and the rootfs.tar.bz2 with Mfgtools. Then I boot the Linux system after I config the boot mode .
I have make the following changes with the uboot :
In the file : board/freescale/mx6q_sabresd/mx6q_sabresd.c
1.find the struct :fb_videomode ,change as following:
{
"LDB-XGA", 60, 1024, 768, 15385,
220, 40,
21, 7,
60, 10,
0,
FB_VMODE_NONINTERLACED,
FB_MODE_IS_DETAILED,
}
2.find the position that use 'ipuv3_fb_init',change the parameter 'IPU_PIX_FMT_RGB666' as'IPU_PIX_FMT_RGB24'
The kernel that I have changed as following :
In the file :arch/arm/mach_mx6/ board-mx6q_sabresd.c
find 'ipuv3_fb_platform_data sabresd_fb_data',then change as following:
static struct ipuv3_fb_platform_data sabresd_fb_data[] = {
{ /*fb0*/
.disp_dev = "ldb",
.interface_pix_fmt = IPU_PIX_FMT_RGB666, change as:IPU_PIX_FMT_RGB24
.mode_str = "LDB-XGA",
.default_bpp = 16, change as :default_bpp = 24
.int_clk = false,
.late_init = false,
}, {
.disp_dev = "ldb",
.interface_pix_fmt = IPU_PIX_FMT_RGB666,
.mode_str = "LDB-XGA",
.default_bpp = 16,
.int_clk = false,
},
};
find 'fsl_mxc_ldb_platform_data ldb_data' then change as following :
static struct fsl_mxc_ldb_platform_data ldb_data = {
.ipu_id = 1, change as : ipu_id = 0
.disp_id = 1,
.ext_ref = 1,
.mode = LDB_SEP1, i do not know if here need to change
.sec_ipu_id = 1, changge as :sec_ipu_id = 0
.sec_disp_id = 0,
};
I set the following parameters in the uboot: setenv bootargs video=mxcfb0:dev=ldb,LDB-XGA,if=RGB24,fbpix=RGB32,ldb=spl0,fbmem=10M
I use lvds0 as the image :
the screen I us is G104X1 - L03.

Hi ,
I have solved the problem and light up the screen with LVDS interface .
The problem is that the kernel file :arch/arm/mach_mx6/ board-mx6q_sabresd.c
find 'fsl_mxc_ldb_platform_data ldb_data' and then correctly change the struct as follows :
static struct fsl_mxc_ldb_platform_data ldb_data = {
.ipu_id = 0,
.disp_id = 0,
.ext_ref = 1,
.mode = LDB_SEP0,
.sec_ipu_id = 0,
.sec_disp_id = 1,
};

The kernel command list above is all in my console . I think the possible problem is here

but I do not locate the problem in the kernel or uboot source code .
Hi ,
I have solved the problem and light up the screen with LVDS interface .
The problem is that the kernel file :arch/arm/mach_mx6/ board-mx6q_sabresd.c
find 'fsl_mxc_ldb_platform_data ldb_data' and then correctly change the struct as follows :
static struct fsl_mxc_ldb_platform_data ldb_data = {
.ipu_id = 0,
.disp_id = 0,
.ext_ref = 1,
.mode = LDB_SEP0,
.sec_ipu_id = 0,
.sec_disp_id = 1,
};
this lcd was used with i.MX53 on below link, i.MX53 has similar ldb
module as i.MX6.

Hello,
1. Have you configured 65 Mhz CLK and checked through CRO ?
2. Please probe the lines LVDS_TX0_+ and -, LVDS0_TX1_+ and -, LVDS0_TX2_+ and -, LVDS0_TX3_+ and -, LVDS0_CLK_+ and - using CRO and share the waveforms.
3. Whether the LCD set-up have PWM and Enable pins options ? Did you drive those pins properly ?
Regards,
Mohammed Azlum
Hello,
Thank your for your suggestions.
I have tested the LVDS_TX0_+ and -, LVDS0_TX1_+ and -, LVDS0_TX2_+ and -, LVDS0_TX3_+ and -, LVDS0_CLK_+ and - signals, and find that LVDS_TX0_+ and -, LVDS0_TX1_+ and -, LVDS0_TX2_+ and -, LVDS0_CLK_+ and - signals have 1.2v voltage without any waveform, LVDS0_TX3_+ and - can not test any voltage or waveform.
The LVDS0_TX3_+ and - can not test any voltage or waveform may be due to the parameter 'RGB666' in the kernel have not changed correctly.
Do you have any suggestions for me to change the parameters in kernel and u-boot source code correctly?
Thank you ! Have a great day!
xiaobin wu,
The lvds screen can not light up ,if there anyone meet the problem?
