Hello,

In the datasheet, the description of FLASHSZ of FLSHA1CR0 - FLSHB2CR0 for the FLEXSPI (IMX8X) define the max size of 0GB. I guess it's a mistake so what is the max size?

Best regards

Alexandre

Hello,

Chapter 18.2.7.1 (AHB Memory Map for Serial Flash memory access) of the RM states,
that "following address range is mapped for AHB read/write access to serial flash memory:
0x0 - 0x10000000". According to Table 2-2 (System memory map), 256MB is reserved
for FlexSPI #0 Memory.

Yuri.

Hello,

So you are telling that we can't have devices with a size greater than 256MB connected?

Then why the max value authorize for those register will be 0x400000 (4GB)?

Best regards

Alexandre

Hello,

There are restrictions for AHB (commands, XIP). For the IP commands
address bytes (field) define available memory size.

Regards,
Yuri.
