Our product works fine but stops working the moment the lit of our product is placed onto the bottom of the device.

We established that the click of the spring action lit upsets one or both of the sensors. The strength of the click is like a ball point click. The moment the PCB with those sensors is exposed to such click the data coming out of the sensors is completely corrupted and stays corrupted.

We are sure it is the little click because if we bend the spring so that no hard click is made the sensors keep on working fine.

Is the phenomenon known to other users of the community ?

Could the G force spike of such a click upset the registers inside the sensors somehow ?

Under all other conditions both sensors work perfect without a glitch.

Regards,

Ruud

Hi Ruud,

Just as you mentioned, this is a very peculiar issue, never heard from someone with a similar problem before.

You mentioned that you are sure that the problem is cause by the click, but just as an extra test, is it possible to test it by clicking the lit before turning on the sensors?

Or, is there a possibility that at the moment when you click the lit (normal click), could cause a short or other similar event?

By the way, when you mentioned “click the lit”, I’m not sure of what is happening, if possible, some images or pictures can help to visualize the application and the problem.

Have a great day,
Jose
