MM9Z1_638 XTAL no signal

Hi Nxp Partner

We try to write firware code when we get our first version senior board (installs MM9Z1_638).

We found EXTAL& XTAL is oscillation signal and We also check all the voltage pin of MM9Z1_638 (VDDA,VDDX,VDDH,VDD2D,LTO ,RESET) is within the spec's requirement.Do you have any suggestion to check why EXTAL& XTAL no signal?

Hi Mike,

please check the OSCE bit in the CPMUOSC register. It should be set to 1 to see an external wave on the EXTAL pin.

Should we use ic programmer to write initial firmware to mm9z1_638 before mount on pcb?

"without  extal signal"can we wirte firmware to mm9z1_638 now ?

We add 470nf on two reset pin. We can write firmware. thanks
