Chinese customer UAES is asking whether FCCU can put all S32V2 I/O pins to high-Z mode?

screenshot.png

Customer also has questions about the description of SIUL2_MSCRn.SMC bitfield. Need confirmation:

Q1: Whether SIUL can put IO to hi-z mode when FCCU in fault state and release it when FCCU leave fault state?

Q2: Whether FCCU_EIN0, FCCU_EIN1 (configured as input pin) can make IO to hi-z mode?

Could anyone help on the above?

Thanks,

ADAS AE

Hi Michael ,

Plz find SIUL SMC explanation shared by design . SIUL SMC bit can be used to control I/O hi-z for FCCU fault state.

Thanks and Regards

Abhijeet.

Hi Abhijeet,

Below is the description of SMC bit:

SMC

Safe Mode Control

Applicable pad type: GPIO

0 To drive pad in hi-z state using OBE = 0, when FCCU in fault state. The OBE will be driven by IP/SIUL

when FCCU leaves the fault state -> When set as 0 -> if FCCU is in fault state -> OBE is driven as 1

  • -> If FCCU is not in fault state à OBE is driven from IP/SIUL

1 No effect on IP/SIUL driven OBE value

  • -> When set as 1 -> OBE is driven from IP/SIUL

Thanks & Regards,

Neha
