Further Information for the S32K1_S32M24x Real-Time Drivers ASR R21-11 Version 2.0.0 QLP1

Hello,

I was notified about the latest RTD (S32K1_S32M24x Real-Time Drivers ASR R21-11 Version 2.0.0 QLP1) for the S32K1 group of MCUs. 

The short description mentions a release note but there is no further information provided.

Can you provide more information on what has been fixed in the current RTD as opposed to the one I am using right now, which is the S32K1_S32M24X Real Time Drivers AUTOSAR R21-11 Version 2.0.0 P03 CD01. 

Based on the short description one should choose this RTD because it has RTM (release to manufacturing) quality status. Maybe you can elaborate on that.

Last, can you elaborate how these three packages differ and how one should choose one over the other:

When there is a problem with a driver the software team uses the RTM drivers and adds the fix. When the fix pass the test to validate the functionality they publish this new software version. As mentioned in the description this patch is a release for S32K1 & S32M24x of Security Crypto driver based on Autosar R21-11.

Regarding the DS_updatesite_D2408, QualityPackage and SafetyPackage. The update site is a package that must be installed in S32 Designe Studio to update drivers. The QualityPackage and SafetyPackage provides documents relared to the Crypto driver like test reports, RTD safety manual, amoung others.

Finally, the use of versions with Code Drop quality status is not recommended because in terms of testing it is not fully tested. So, it is not recommended for production use, but can be used as a reference. The Security Crypto driver included in the 32K1_S32M24X Real Time Drivers AUTOSAR R21-11 Version 2.0.0 P03 CD01 has Code Drop quality and in the S32K1_S32M24x Real-Time Drivers ASR R21-11 Version 2.0.0 QLP1 has RTM quality.
