Hello, I'm trying to implement CAN communication on the S32G board. I don't know what to start with, so I'm looking for help.
I would appreciate it if you could tell me if I had any environment and equipment to prepare.
Thank you.
Hi @jkong
You can find a lot of information regarding CAN, on the S32G2 reference manual (Chapter 50 FlexCan Rev. 7) and posts from this community. However, you can start by looking into the examples provided on the RTD (Real Time Drivers) in S32 Design Studio, these examples have loopback enabled, which means that the CAN signals will be internal. You should be able to enable physical communication with some simple modifications to the example. Once enabled, you can use an oscilloscope to see the CAN frames or a CAN transceiver to simulate the communication with another device.
Remember that a CAN network needs at leat 2 "nodes" to stablish communication.
Let us know if you have another question.
Best Regards, Miguel.
