T2080 XFI 10GBase-T port support

Hi everybody,

I am designing a node based on T2080 and I want to implement one 10Gb Ethernet port.

I read on T2080RDBPCUG.pdf document the following sentence: "The T2080 only supports evaluation of the XFI protocol using Aquantia AQ1202 dual port 10GBase-T PHY".

That means the T2080 only works using the Aquantia AQ1202 IC or it refers to XFI protocol where, for example, I can use other PHY IC manufacturer as such Marvell or Broadcom?

You can use other PHY IC compatible with the XFI.
