We are using QorIQ P2020NXE2MHC in one of our processor board.
The core power supply to P2020NXE2MHC processor is given through the circuit (with ZL2006) as per your reference schematic for P2020NXEMHC.
It is found that
1) The core voltage (CPU_VDD = 1.01V) is not getting generated. We could not locate the exact issue till now. For the time being we have made "enable" always High, "Sync" Input as Open. Other setting same as of reference schematic. We are not using I2C interface. These lines are pulled up to 3.3V. Impedance between GND and CPU_VDD= 15 ohms (measured). There are some gate control pulses generated from the IC which goes OFF once we make enable "LOW".
2) We are not giving GVdd to the processor.
3) So all other voltages except cpu_vdd and Gvdd are provided to the processor.
One observation:
4) On the above said condition we found that processor is driving almost all the pins as low, e.g. COP_SRST, COP_TDI, COP_HRST, CLKSTP, HRSET, All GPIO). Note that NO short with GND was found)
Please note that the ZL2006 is not an NXP device.
In the described case it will be more convenient to apply to the Intersil technical support.
