Hello,

can anybody explain, what kind of changes to the Linux SDK (V1.4) have to be done to get the P4080PCIe EVA board running.

When using the P4080DS configuration the kernel is booting but seems to fail during ethernet driver setup.

I used the original U-Boot (2010.12) to download the images.

Please refer to a SDK 1.0 based patch tar ball P4080-PCIE-SDK-1.0-05-03-2012.tgz from Run-time Software in http://www.freescale.com/webapp/sps/site/prod_summary.jsp?code=P4080PCIE&nodeId=018rH325E40180&fpsp=....

Does that 1.0 SDK have all the current errata workarounds?

Thanks for reply. Unfortunately this patch seems only to work with version 1.0 and can not be executed in the 1.4 environment.

Why not using the one as Yiping indicated? Is there any special requirement?

Finding this thread later, I can only find the current 2.3 release (QorIQSDK_02_03_00B_ltib.iso). It appears that the current 2.3 release has changed significantly and doesn't appear to support the P4080PCIe card.

How do I find the QorIQ-DPAA-SDK-20110609-systembuilder.iso file that the above release notes refer to?

2.3B is not the current SDK -- it is a beta version that is older than 1.0.  The latest SDK release is 1.4.  1.4 supports p4080, but you may need to migrate board code yourself.
