How can I install Codewarrior v8.8 in linux OS(Ubuntu 16.04)

I'm attemping to install codewarrior IDE in Ubuntu16.04. But I get the installation package from NXP as an exe file. How can I install it into the target OS?

Use Ubuntu 10 or Ubuntu 12 for installing CodeWarrior 8.8 for Linux.

As I can only get the Windows-hosted installation package for version 8.8, which is .exe file.

Is it suitable to install in Ubuntu?
