In section 19 (page 44) of the PCA9626 data sheet (http://www.nxp.com/documents/data_sheet/PCA9626.pdf) the footprint drawing recommends dimension D1 to be 0.28mm, and D2 to be 0.5mm (x 8). The drawing would suggest that all 8 outside pads are 0.5mm D2. However, pads this large would not allow adequate solder mask spacing between land. Is there a reason these pads are dimensioned so large? Can the larger pads be ignored and assume D1 for all?
Thanks!
Hi Trevor,
You are right, please use D1 = 0.28mm for all pads.
Thanks for pointing this out, I have already asked our application and documentation teams for correction.
Best regards,
Tomas
