Device ID for tja1044/tja1049

I'm using both TJA1044 & TJA1049 in my circuit(one at a time), it is connected to microcontroller. i wish to extract the device id of it in circuit, to identify which transceiver is used. At a time only one transceiver is used in circuit.

1. How to get device ID.

2. How to differentiate among them, if device id is not fetch-able.

I can't see an option how to distinguish between them by software.
