Overview
The Electro-Mechanical Brake reference design exhibits the suitability and advantages of the NXP® 56F8300 family of DSCs for intensive automotive control applications (hybrid braking like systems) featuring a 3-phase Permanent Magnet Synchronous Motor (PMSM) with an encoder and Hall-effect position sensors.
- This application uses a vector control approach of the 3-phase PMSM with a dedicated low-voltage (automotive 12V) board comprising MC56F8323 controller, MC33989 system basis chip, MC33982 intelligent single switch, and MC33896 3-phase FET pre-driver
- The Electro-Mechanical Brake Reference Design is controlled via FreeMASTER control page using RS232/CAN communication
