HTRC110 PCB Layout Design Guide

I am using the HTRC110 to build a Low Frequency RFID reader but I find that the reading range of my reader is not that great. I am suspecting that the problem may be with my PCB layout. I have checked the application note AN98080 but do not find much information related to PCB layout.

May I know if there is any other recommendation on the PCB layout for the HTRC110?

My apologies, the only information available regarding design aspects is the one described in AN98080 Read/write devices based on the HITAG read/write IC HTRC110, Chapter 6 Antenna Design.
