We will use the MCP5777C, and at least 1 Nexus MDO pin is over-mapped to a function that we would like to use (eSCI transmit). Is this situation "workable" for typical debugger use, or no? I don't have the experience using the debugger in order to know this in advance.
Thanks for any comments!
Minimum debug external circuitry consists of following pins - JCOMP, RESET, TD/WDT, EVTI and TCK.
MDO pads offers trace capability what is usually not needed and these pins can be used for alternate or general purpose I/O.
