MPC5777M has 4 Mcan,The M_CAN performs communication according to the CAN protocol specification 2.0 part A,B and to CAN FD 1.0.
For example,MPC5777C: ISO CAN FD
Is there a difference about of non-ISO and ISO CAN FD?
What is the ISO can FD version? CAN FD 1.x?
Hi,
For example, see short explanation here
https://can-newsletter.org/engineering/standardization/141209_iso-can-fd-or-non-iso-can-fd/
Once ISO CAN FD and non-ISO CAN FD devices are connected to the same network, the CAN FD feature must not be used due to different protocol/frame format. The Classic CAN mode is unaffected.

Hi,
In MPC5777M Reference Manual, Rev. 4, 04/2015
"The following are the features of Modular CAN Cores.
Conforms with CAN protocol version 2.0 part A, B and ISO 11898-1
CAN Flexible data-rate (CAN–FD) protocol with maximum 64 data bytes on"
In CAN Newsletter - ISO CAN FD or non-ISO CAN FD
"in future all products will be compliant to the ISO standard (ISO 11898-1)."
"All products compliant to the upcoming ISO standard 11898-2:2015 should be called “ISO CAN FD”. Products implementing Bosch’s original protocol should be named “non-ISO CAN FD” "
So,Please check it for me, MCAN interface in MPC5777M is ISO can FD or not?
" ISO 11898-1" in MPC5777M Reference Manual is ISO11898-1 FDIS 2014 or not?
The MPC5777M follows original non-ISO CAN FD implementation.
There will be no update on the MPC5777M.
The MPC5775K and MPC5777C offers MCAN that complies with latest ISO CAN FD.
It is summarized here https://community.nxp.com/message/894350.
