Dear Community members,

I am trying to program a custom mkw36 board through a frdm-kw36 board.I have been trying for the last 2 weeks with no success.

"Failed on connect: Ee(42). Could not connect to core.
No connection to chip's debug port" is the message I get from the console.

Any help or reference to a document will be highly appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Tufan Takak

Thank you Ricardo.I will pull up the pin and report the result.

One more question should I pull it up to 3.3v or 1.8 v?

Hi Tufan,

Hope you are doing well. From your schematic from your other post (mkw36z - NXP Community), I can see that you left floating the NMI pin (IC pin 23). The NMI pin needs a pull-up resistor.

And there are some recommendations that you can take into account:

Hope this helps.

Ricardo

pulling the nmi pin up to 1.8 v did not work and I checked swd_clk pin of the swd header on the board and there is no clock signal. coming in or going out.

Hi,

It seems that you are having problems with your custom board, according to the information there it seems that it could be related to its assembly and soldering process.

The recommendation would be to review physically your custom board, especially on the Microcontroller soldering process. And the only additional thing we can provide you with is the documentation you already have:

Ricardo
