Hi I am new to MCUXpresso, and LPC development now I am learning much! A great solution and experience
Is there a published glossary for vocabulary and acronyms?
Solved! Go to Solution.
The NXP and config tool user manuals are your friend, you can read it there:
Microcontrollers EXport Configuration
For example, the LPC55S06 makes reference to AHB & APB without a published glossary; took me a few minutes to uncover this!

Hi @ErichStyger; for the .mex file what does MEX stand for? We are just curious

@ErichStyger you rock - thank you!!
I reviewed the MCUXpresso Config Tools User's Guide and found your reference in sec 2.2 (p.4) -
"In this context, configuration stands for common tools settings stored in an MEX (Microcontrollers Export Configuration) file"
TI & Microship both publish their glossaries as published docs, see those links. My recommendation and idea for your team - what about a live glossary like a webpage or a live search; I think this would be a unique and high-value asset for your customers
I had found this post, but nothing else. My main questions now are -
'fsl' comes from Freescale,.
About the meaning of LPC, there is a good explanation here:
https://community.nxp.com/t5/LPC-Microcontrollers/LPC-abbreviation/td-p/915598
Thank you for these both, much appreciated Erich!! I appreciate the quick and detailed responses
I will submit a request for a published glossary and reference this ticket, thanks
-Justin
nice!
FSL was as well the Freescale stock 'name'.
