How set-up MCF5485 timers to event counter mode ?

I want program MCF5485 timers in event counter mode. For example count switch pulses tie to TINn. (like with MFP901 timers. Old peripheral 68000 family, for example.)

Is't possible ?

Someone have C or ASM example(s) for that ?
