I am trying to use some of the code from app. note AN2726 to implement using the MSCAN module through the XGATE. My question is about using the structures included in the example for initialization and to overlay on the CAN registers in memory. How do I allocate the structure on both the XGATE and the S12x core so that it is shared. I know the pointers are different but do I just point them to data residing on the S12X core. I hope this makes sense because I'm having a hard time wording this question.
