Hi,

I am a hobbyist looking to get into making a small project that uses the MC9S08JM60CLDLD ARM chip.  I have some sample code to look at.  The author of the code says it was created in CodeWarrior 6.2.  I see there are a number of downloads.  What download do I need to install (free version of the software) to attempt to compile my sample code and get it on  a chip.  I am assuming the code and data size is small.

I would primarily be interested in buying an arm chip, creating a small program, embedding it on the chip and debugging.

I have a Segar Jlink EDU...so I assume I will have to use that somehow.  Also, what is Coldfire?  Do I need that?

Regards,

Jeff

Hi Jeff

MC9S08JM60CLDLD is 8 bit chip. not ARM. to work with it, you can use CW6.3 or CW11

CW6.2 is no longer available on external site, please use CW6.3 instead

https://www.nxp.com/products/processors-and-microcontrollers/additional-processors-and-mcus/8-16-bit...

If you use 64bit win7/8/10, please use CW11

Have a great day,
