Can use a 9.8304 MHz crystal in a 68HC908AP64 MCU board in user and monitor mode or is necesary a 9.8304 oscillator in monitor mode.

Hi,
You should use a 32KHz crystal during normal execution.
It's because of the design of the Oscillator module. It could work with a higher frequency but you will NOT have any guarantee.
I guess communication would have been difficult at such baudrate, that's why you need a higher crystal for MON08 (monitor mode) access.
