Kinetis KL05 support

Hello, and upfront I would like to excuse myself for my ignorance.

We started working on a project which should use KL05 microcontroller because our client has a lot of these left over from a previous product. We've been working with ST and other brands of micros for years, and we are new to Kinetis.

I've been trying to jump start development on this platform and purchased FRDM-KL05 board and installed KDS, but I don't know what to do next. I couldn't find support for this micro in SDK 2.0 nor in previous versions. This is unimaginable that the manufacturer doesn't support his own product in a SDK. Am I missing something?

I did find some examples for KL05 for IAR and KEIL, but they look like very old and not written in a very readable way.

How should I go ahead with this? We are on a tight schedule, and I was really hoping that NXP will provide valid sample code and libraries for this MCU. Is this MCU considered as obsolete, thus not having a support in the SDK anymore?

Thank you for helping me with this.
