Currently My software is running from the DDR memory of SCH-27419 faraday evb. I just want to have the code in flash memory and want the software boot from there.
Please help me out on this.
Thanks in advance.
I guess you are asking about the “Execute-In-Place (XIP)” booting mode – it is supported (see the “126.96.36.199 QuadSPI Serial Flash BOOT Operation” section of the “Vybrid Reference Manual, Rev. 5, 07/2013”):
"Both booting an XIP and non-XIP image is supported from serial flash. For XIP boot, the image has to be built for QuadSPI address space, and for non-XIP the image can be built to execute from DDR or SRAM."
Please, also take a look at the “188.8.131.52 QuadSPI boot flow chart”.
