Hi All,

Anyone knows or can shade me some lights on the KE02Z Freedom Board 3.3V OpenSDA debugger's support for 5VDC - Can it works perfectly well on an external 5VDC powered KE02 device target board?

Hi, H T Tan

Up to current version, you cannot input 5V directly to FRDM board. Because K20 is 3V chip. In future version, we will modify this issue. But for your KE02 application, you can power KE02 with 5V.

Hope my reply can help you.

Best Regards

Paul

Thanks Paul,

This fact I know - My next question is, which ICD currently and officially supporting 5V powered KE02?

Is it PEMICRO Universal Multilink or the more costly Multilink FX?

Or none?

Hi, H T Tan

I think USB Multilink Universal FX can support Kinetis E series. But please not supply 5V directly to freesdom board, this will make K20 broken.

Hope my reply can help you.

Best Regards

Paul
