maybe it is a stupid question:
I want to use the i.MXRT1170 EVK MIPI interface to drive some LCD with standard HDMI.
What is the "easiest" way to realize it?
Does NXP have some recommendated MIPI -> HDMI adapter board to purchase?
Hi Auftrag2021 - just to give you a run down on my solution at the moment: MIPI DSI -> eDP converter chip using TI's sn65dsi86. Then you can use an adaptor cable from eDP to HDMI.
Hello auftrag2021,
Good question! There is not a reference design or module for the i.MXRT1170 specifically, but there is a MIPI to HDMI adapter as part of the i.MX8 Accessory Boards which may serve as a general reference if you want to implement something similar. (The i.MX8 accessory board is not compatible as it uses a different connector).
The schematic for this adapter is available on the link below (you may need to login to download these design files). As you will see, it uses a ADV7535 which provides a MIPI/ DSI input receiver and a High-HDMI transmitter output.

I hope that this information helps!
