The MIMXRT1064-EVK schematic shows KSZ8081RNB for the Ethernet PHY.
Can we use KSZ8081RNA instead? Are any code changes needed?
Here is the difference between KSZ8081RNB and KSZ8081RNA:
KSZ8081RNA comes in a smaller 24pin 4mm x 4mm package. Micrel came out with this version to offer a lower cost version.
The KSZ8081RNB comes in a larger 32pin 5mm x 5mm version.
Due to the RNA having less pins, it only supports one status LED.
Some customers require the more standard 2 LED scheme (one for Activity, the 2nd for Speed).
The RNB also has enough pins to offer some pin strapping features, where the RNA doesn't.
The RNA can only have its default configuration settings changed via the MIIM interface.
