Hello everyone,
On Linux, when I connect the mxrt1050 board to the PC, a short description is shown like "DAPLink-CMSIS-DAP", and I am using this description to identify the board in the python application that I wrote to connect to that board automatically. However, on Windows, the identifier is very general, like "USB COM PORT". I wonder if there is any way for me to recognize which serial port corresponds to the mxrt1050 board without disconnecting the board and connecting it again.
Thanks,
Hi,
Yes, it is possible to change the device name by using registry editor on Windows 10. I found the following article in the web that describes how you can do it.
https://www.avoiderrors.com/rename-devices-device-manager/
At the end I was able to see my board with a different name in the device manager.
Best regards,
Felipe
