How to achieve 802.11ac on imxrt 1064 with murata LBEE5HY1MW

"We used an NXP SDK example to test the LBEE5HY1MW (which is connected to an iMX RT1064) on our custom board. We did the iperf test, setting up the 1MW as an access point. The iperf test worked, but the 1MW only comes up as an 802.11n. We want to bring it up as a 802.11ac to test at 5Ghz (our antenna is supposed to support that).
What do we need to do to enable 11ac? I suspect there is a nvram setting, but I can't find great documentation on the nvram paramters."

Do you know when the WICED Wi-Fi stack in the i.MX RT 1064 SDK will support 802.11ac?

Hello @bshannon,

The WICED Wi-Fi stack would not be supported anymore, right now, the modules that are supported in the SDK are the following ones:

  • PAN9026_SDIO
  • AW_NM191
  • AW_AM457
  • AW_CM358

Best Regards,

Hello @bshannon,

Unfortunately, if you use the Wi-Fi stack in the i.MX RT SDK, right now it doesn't support 802.11ac.
