infinite error message of "[drm] No driver support for vblank timestamp query" during boot

Hi,

I'm trying too bootup a new hardware board based on imx8qxp evk, I have flashed the official image of "L5.4.70-2.3.0_images" into the board and then switched to boot from mmc.

At the boot phase, the debug console prints infinite message like this:

[ 24.714712] [drm] No driver support for vblank timestamp query.
[ 24.720759] imx-drm display-subsystem: bound imx-drm-dpu-bliteng.2 (ops dpu_bliteng_ops)
[ 24.729204] imx-drm display-subsystem: bound imx-dpu-crtc.0 (ops dpu_crtc_ops)
[ 24.736731] imx-drm display-subsystem: bound imx-dpu-crtc.1 (ops dpu_crtc_ops)
[ 24.758632] [drm] Supports vblank timestamp caching Rev 2 (21.10.2013).

the message will never stop.

I'd like to check how to stop this message or how to locate the hardware errors if any.

Thanks.

Hi Fei

official image of "L5.4.70-2.3.0_images" may not work on new hardware board as were

built for MEK board. For new custom board it is necessary to run ddr test and rebuild image

according to ddr test documentation

https://community.nxp.com/t5/i-MX-Processors-Knowledge-Base/i-MX-8-8X-Family-DDR-Tools-Release/ta-p/...

Best regards
igor
