imx8mq Hantro G1 scaling

Hi,

according to the TRM 14.1.2.1 Decoder Features Hatro G1 in i.MX8MQ supports scaling:

• Video post-processing features
  • Frame scaling with maximum up-scaling factor of 3

But in the Synthesis configuration register post-processor (SWREG100)  

38300190: e0c75000

the SW_PPD_SCALE_LEVEL is 0 - meaning PP did not have scaling support? This is read by the imx-vpu-hantro software and my PP config is rejected.

Am I overlooking something? (No, I can't use GPU!)

on G1 HW, can support scaling, but current bsp uses GPU to do this job

Questions was if this is enabled in i.MX8MQ? Do you have any information about how to enable scaling with the PP?

If I disable the scaling enabled check in imx-vpu-hantro software I get a decoder error...

for design concern, the development team close this feature, so I don't suggest customer to use this
