imx6 as a USB charger

Hello community

I want to know whether the i.MX6 device can be used as a USB charger to

charge usb device that connected to i.MX6.

There are descriptions in i.MX_6_Linux_Reference_Manual as bellow,what

does it mean?

i.MX SoC has USB charger detection ability, but it has no charging ability.

i.MX6 can not be used as a USB charger, but it can

detect that it is connected to external charger.

USB Charger detection scheme has been implemented in MX6 BSP.

You can find the codes in "driver/usb/gadget/imx_usb_charger.c"

when you connect smart phone to power supply the phone also can be charged,

just properly connecting D+,D-.

But when I connect a smart phone to an imx6q board,the phone can be charged.

So what dose it mean by "i.MX SoC has USB charger detection ability, but it has no charging ability."
