imx6: Minimal footprint for Android... without display...

Hi,

In fact, 2 questions in one:

- I wonder if it is possible to have an Android running on a imx6 (any..) without a display not a touchscreen. I wonder if it is possible to use Android only as a compatible framework for network applications.

- There is also the question of the minimal footprint of such system, in terms of DDR and Flash.

Does somebody has some clues... or give me some hint to build such a system ?

Hi Arnaud,

It seems that most of the Android implementations include a screen, as it is required for “Device Compatibility”, as indicated on Android developer’s webpage:

http://developer.android.com/guide/practices/compatibility.html#Screens

If you really don’t need the screen and you only need the Android API, maybe you should check the ADB support in order to verify that you will be able to use it for your end application purposes.
