Hi,
We are trying to access iMX6 S/DL SDMA from a EIM FPGA . The SDMA scheduler SDMA_event_0 always detects a rising edge. Is there a way to change this to detect falling edge using any register settings or the HW is always designed in a way only to detect rising edge. Thanks

Hi Raajesh
I am afraid SDMA_event_0 detection polarity can not be changed as
it is fixed in hardware, sorry.

Hi Igor,
Can we use SDMA_EVENT_0 to trigger events. We are abe to use only EVENT_1. Kindly help to clarify. Thanks
Hi Raajesh
seems not as Table 3-2. SDMA event mapping describes only EVENT_1

Hi Igor,
Thanks, could you please help on the procedure to use EVENT0 as well if any.

Hi Raajesh
this is not "officially supported", means no support is described in
Linux Release Notes included in Linux documentation:
i.MX Software and Development Tools | NXP
Standard support path in such cases: Commercial Support and Engineering Services | NXP

Hi Igor,
Thanks for the support. Will proceed accordingly.

Hi Igor,
We are facing one more issue with SDMA event. Even though we configure to use SDMA_EVENT_0 as interupt the SDMA is triggered only when EVENT_1 is triggered. I saw there is something related to SOC revision in one of the NXP forum discussion https://community.nxp.com/thread/324491 . Is this is the case? If so can you specify the revisions for Quad and Solo/Dual. Thanks

Hi Raajesh
as answered on that link, there are no SDMA_event_0 scripts, so you
will have to write new script for it. I am afraid that info about revisions
is not available regarding SDMA_EVENT.

Hi Igor,
So it means we can use only EVENT_1 to trigger SDMA requests. Is my understanding correct. Thanks
