Hi NXP team,
We are using MIPI-CSI 2 to capture some camera data that is composed by the raw image data and some metadata associated to the frame/stream. We have tried to take the metadata as-is with the current drivers (imx-mipi-cs2 and imx8-isi-cap) but the metadata wasn't read. So we are moving towards using virtual channels.
We don't have much experience here so some questions if you don't mind:
1. Where are defined the the settings for the virtual channel?
2. What do these settings depend on? (MIPI CSI driver, SoC...)
Any documentation with more info about virtual channels (ie. inside the kernel) and how to develop one (or some example) would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.
