i.MX8 MIPI DSI tearing effect signal

Dear team,

We are working on a project based on i.MX 8M Mini processor (in fact, based on a SOM module from Variscite company) and we will use a 4 lanes DSI MIPI display based on the HX8394 controller. I've seen that many displays based on that controller have a TE (tearing effect) output pin that is supposed to be used for synchronization. Do I have to take into account that pin for my hardware design?

The device will run Android OS.
