i.MX6UL interrupts and Reset signal

Hello,

We are using LAN8720 RMII Ethernet transceiver IC on ENET2 interface of the i.MX6UL.

Ethernet chip has Reset and Interrupt signal. However if we see i.MX6UL MAC interface, it does not such dedicated signals. In current design, we have used ENET1_TX_CLK(F14) pin as a Reset. Let me know if I can use this pin as a Ethernet reset.

While for interrupt in Freescale EVK uses SNVS_TAMPER6(N11) as a Ethernet interrupt. I have also used the same pin as Ethernet interrupt. Let me know if it is correct to use this(tamper) pin as interrupt input.

Finally let me know, can I use GPIO pins for Ethernet Reset and Interrupt purpose.

Hi Surendra

any gpio can be used as interrupt source (for example Ethernet interrupt) or as Ethernet reset,

ENET1_TX_CLK (ALT5) can be configured as GPIO2(6).
